Урок английского языка в 8-м классе по теме "Здоровый образ жизни"

Цели:

  • воспитательная: актуализация здорового образа жизни, создание положительной мотивации к дальнейшему изучению языка;
  • развивающая: развитие языковых, интеллектуальных (логики, догадки, памяти) и познавательных способностей учащихся;
  • образовательная: расширение эрудиции учащихся, их лингвистического и общего кругозора;
  • практическая направленность: развитие умений и навыков устной речи в рамках темы.

Ход урока

I. Начало урока.

Good morning, my dear friends! Glad to see you!

1. Today we shall speak about healthy way of life. People can work, learn and have fun only when they are healthy. Health is the man’s greatest wealth. It is very important to have good habits and exercise regularly.

2. Look at the board. There are some proverbs on it. Find and read the proverb which we can use as the motto at our lesson.

1. Better late than never. 2. A sound mind in a sound body. 3. The best mirror is an old friend.

3. Dear friends, don’t forget to put a dot on the sheet on the wall there. It will be your marks at the end of the lesson. (На стене у доски висит лист самооценки.)

The text

To be healthy is very important. You can work, learn and have fun only when you are healthy. Health is the man’s greatest wealth.

People in all times understood how important food is. To be healthy you need vitamins and fibre. You should eat fruit and vegetable. The English say “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. It is because apples have vitamins and are good for your health. The most important vitamin is vitamin С. You can find it in lemons, oranges and even in cabbage. You can find fibre in plants.

But if you eat fruit and vegetables, it does not mean that you keep to a healthy diet. There are things you should not eat much. They are chocolate, pasta, cakes and sweets. They have much fat and sugar. This food gives a lot of energy. If you do not work it out, it becomes fat in your body.

If you eat sweet and fat food from time to time, you have to exercise regularly.

Маnу peoplе jog, walk or cycle in their free time. Physical exercises help you keep fit, have a good gait and figure. They also help you lose weight and work out energy. It is not good to be as thin as a stick, but extra weight can cause serious problems, such as heart problems and diabetes.

There are a lot of advertisements both on TV and in newspapers of different pills and drops which can help you become slim and slender in two weeks. But I know that to take medication without a doctor’s control is dangerous. Also I know that pills can not work a miracle.

There are also some bad habits, which can ruin your health. They are smoking, drinking alcohol and using drugs. My parents do not smoke, and I do not smoke, either. I think these bad habits ruin health and show your weak character. Nowadays it becomes more and more popular to be healthy and slim. Yet everyone has to decide what he can do to be healthy. What do you do?

Put your hands on the desk, sit straight, close your eyes, breathe quietly, relax, please!

Imagine: you are healthy and wealthy. Your eyes are shining. Your skin is healthy. You have a good figure and a good gait. You have a trained body and good biceps. Open your eyes! How are you? What else can you say about yourself?

V. Заключительная часть урока.

Why must you be healthy? You can need these sentences on the board!

…because I want to win an Olympic race. I want to see the Earth from space. I want to travel to Timbuktu. I want to be rich and famous, too I want to be very clever and wise. I want to win the Nobel Prize. But most of all, I want to be.

I. Организационный момент.

a) Вступительное слово учителя, постановка цели и задач урока. (2мин.)

T: – Good morning, everybody! I’m very glad to see you. How are you?

P1: – I’m fine, thanks. And how are you?

T: – I’m fine too. Thank you. (Слайд № 1)

T: – Look at the screen and think what we are going to speak about. Yes, you are right. Today we’ll speak on the topic “Health and body care”. We are going to discuss our lifestyle and the ways of taking care about our healthy. At the lesson you are going to speak o lot, using lexical and grammar material; to listen to an audio text and to discuss it, to show your presentations and to check your knowledge on the topic. You are going to work in small groups. I wish you good luck.

б) Фонетическая зарядка. You’ll agree that our health is in our own hands. Thousands years ago ancient Greeks said: The ‘first ‘wealth is health. “Health is the best wealth”. T: - Of course all people should follow healthy lifestyle. Now you are going to listen to the text about Max and his lifestyle.

На дотекстовом этапе учитель вводит незнакомые слова: get hungry=want to eat; cabbage; peas; rye bread; public places=places with a lot of people; to receive guests=to have guests at home. (Слайд № 3) Далее, на текстовом этапе, уч-ся слушают текст два раза, находят ответы на поставленные вопросы. На послетекстовом этапе проверяется правильность выполнения, проходит обсуждение текста. Hello. My name is Max. Not long ago I decided to lead healthy life. Let me tell you something about it. I don’t get up very early but I begin my day with exercises. I go out and run about my house twenty times. Then I get hungry and have breakfast. I have a big glass of orange juice and then a cup of tea. At about one I have my lunch. At lunch I eat a lot of vegetables: cabbage, carrots, peas, fresh cucumbers, a piece of rye bread and a cup of tea without sugar, of course. Sometimes I don’t have any lunch, but it is not healthy at all. It happens when I’m busy in the city. I don’t like to have meals in public places. I sometimes have dinner in the evening when I’m hungry or when I have guests at home. I don’t like to receive guests because we usually eat a lot of meat and fish and other heavy things which don’t help you to be fit. My motto is: “Eat to live, but not live to eat”.

Skipping breakfast is bad for young people; is it easy only for one pupil to get up early. Majority of us has chaotic lifestyle; but there is a good thing. All pupils of our form do morning exercising in the school.

P.: I d like to tell you about our school canteen. In order to stay healthy it is important to have a balanced diet. The balanced diet is food that contains something from each of the three main groups of food. These groups are protein, fat and carbohydrates. You find protein in lots of food: meat, fish, nuts, cheese and milk. It helps your body grow and be healthy and it gives you energy. Fat gives you energy too, but don’t eat a lot – it is bad for you. Carbohydrates gave you more than 70% of your energy. Bread, cereals, fruits and vegetables contain lots of carbohydrates. A school cook Anatoliy Nicolaevich takes care about our balanced diet. Many children of our school have dinner in our canteen. We like such dishes as borsch, salads, pancakes and tea with vitamins. (Слайд № 7) (3 мин.)

P1: We like to speak a few words about fart food. As we can see, a lot of people like fast food. Nowadays people are so busy, as they have no time to cook. This food is very fat, it has many calories, and there are no vitamins in it. People who often have meals in fast food restaurants are often overweight. T: Today we are going to speak about health, health problems and how to keep fit. We are to revise the vocabulary, listen to the text, work with proverbs, read the texts and do the crossword.

But where is Nikita?

P: He is not well. I think he has the flu.

The doctor told him to stay in bed.

T: Oh, what a pity. I hope he’ll recover soon.

Speaker4 (female): it is really bad pain. Down here. It started yesterday afternoon. I thought perhaps it was indigestion-yesterday I was at the party. But it is too bad for that.

Speaker5 (male): I think it is because I am a chain-smoker, but now it is not just a bad cough but it hurts. It hurts if I breathe deeply.

T: Now let’s work in groups. There are some situations in the cards, act out a conversation:

Card 1. Every year there is an epidemic of flu in our town. You are asked to give some pieces of advice to your schoolmates on your school TV. Your advice can be headlined “Take my tip and keep fit”. What would you say?

P1. If you want to enjoy life, be healthy and fit. You should sleep 8 or 9 hours a day.

P2. You should get up early.

P3. You should have regular meals, cut out snacks and desserts, and cut out on fart.

P4. You should keep a healthy diet, avoid junk food. What is tasty is not always healthy.

P2. You should go in for sports, take regular exercises.

P3. You should spend a lot of time in the open air.

P1. You should attend you P.E. classes at school regularly.

Card 2. You felt bad last week, you went to policlinic and consulted a doctor. Now you should follow his recommendations. Your classmates try to find out what the doctor did to determine your illness.

Цель: развитие коммуникативной компетенции.

Scientists believe that if we follow ten rules we can easily live to be a hundred.

1.       Breakfast. Always start a day with a good breakfast.

2.       Three meals. Always eat three meals a day.

План-конспект открытого урока по английскому языку "Здоровый образ жизни".

Урок построен таким образом, чтобы содержание урока соответствовало требованиям государственных программ, поставленным целям и задачам, принципам дидактики. Урок начинается с организационного момента, где учащимся сообщается тема урока и проблемные вопросы, которые будут решаться в ходе урока. В ходе фонетической зарядки, отрабатывается произношение изученной лексики. Активизация изученной лексики и  использование ее в речи учащихся отрабатывается в заданиях подстановочного характера и  в обратном переводе.Аудирование и чтение используется на уроке с целью извлечения информации. В качестве контроля понимания  используются упражнения на поиск ответов в тексте на проблемные вопросы, на поиск детальной информации. Для совершенствования знаний грамматического материала и грамматических  навыков говорения в ходе урока используются специальные упражнения: на поиск в прочитанных текстах грамматических форм по теме урока (present perfect continuous), обратный перевод, составление диалогов по ситуациям.В ходе урока применяются следующие формы организации познавательной деятельности: фронтальный опрос (обратный перевод, ответы на поставленные вопросы), парная (составление диалогов по ситуациям), индивидуальная (высказывание по проблемным вопросам), групповая форма (защита проектных работ). На протяжении всего урока учитель и учащиеся решают задачи сохранения здоровья, говорят о хороших и  вредных привычках, об их влиянии на здоровье и внешность, о способах сохранения здоровья.

Задачи урока:

  • Обобщить  лексический и грамматический материал, изученный по данной теме.

  • Совершенствовать и контролировать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком по данной теме по всем видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, говорению, чтению и письму.

  • Совершенствовать грамматические навыки говорения  (Present perfect continuous)

  • Стимулировать желание учащихся высказываться на английском языке.

Оснащение: доска, магнитная доска,  лексические карточки с названием хороших и вредных для здоровья привычек, проектные работы учащихся по данной теме, раздаточный материал, рисунки, картинки, пословицы по теме, карточки с ситуациями, грамматическая таблица (Present  perfect continuous).
